EY has been actively engaged in the work of the Foreign Investors’ Council (FIC), which is chaired by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Erlan Dosymbekov, EY’s Managing Partner in Kazakhstan, chairs the FIC association’s (KFICA) Governing Board and the Board of the European Business Association.

Erlan Dosymbekov was awarded the Presidential Order of Honor for his substantial contribution to economic development and investment growth in Kazakhstan. The Presidential Order of Honor, the foremost civilian decoration, is awarded to individuals who have made an especially meritorious contribution to the economy of Kazakhstan, cultural or other significant public or private endeavors.
We have been actively engaged in supporting the country in its transition to IFRS since early 2000, as well as in developing the knowledge of those working in accounting and finance. We continue to contribute to the implementation of IFRS by hosting annual IFRS update sessions for the accounting and finance departments of both national companies and state-owned organizations.
